Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has increased attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles struck the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.
